Hear A Naturalist - Article 9

By cchronik - Posted on 05 July 2010

Imagine an Ocean without whales, dolphins, tuna, sharks, shrimp, lobster, crab, kelp...you name it! - All gone because of our insatiable desires and hunger for more. Every creature on this planet is a part of a delicate ecosystem in which species flourish or decline according to the conditions in which they coexist. Like a chain reaction, the loss of one species can lead to the degradation of life as we know it. Phytoplankton - the smallest, most valued organism in the Ocean provides food and life for not only marine animals but for us as well. Helping to provide the air we breathe.

A little bird...

By Michelle - Posted on 17 January 2011

Thank you to Cathy for the post and story she shared about a little bird who said, “I’m doing what I can, where I am with what I have”. Being reminded that we are all doing what we can with what we have really hit home today.

I haven't posted in a while and I am a little unsure as to what to post as I am not totally sure what is next for me. So for now I am going to listen to the little bird (Thank You Cathy) and I will readjust my sails and wait and see what new adventure lays ahead.

Just a thought

By Cathy - Posted on 23 November 2010

I find that I often put off doing the things that would help me to further my passions. In my head there are a hundred reasons I can dredge up for not moving ahead. I’m too old, it takes too much time, I don’t have the discipline…
I heard a story the other day and I was thinking about how it would be a good guideline to get past the excuses and follow my dreams.

One lazy dreamer checking in:

By Cathy - Posted on 05 April 2010

I’ve been putting off journaling as I haven’t made huge leaps and bounds in terms of my dreams. However I have been quite hugely enjoying life. I’m looking forward to this week as Darold and I are going to Vancouver and will be doing a presentation for one of the Rotary clubs on “The Dog and Pony show” website and video series. Actually Darold will mostly be doing the presentation and I’m going along for moral support. We also are signed up for a dinner and beer tasting on Thursday night so that we can get over the stress of the presentation.

I read Mickael Maddison's blog about how he used technology to solve a problem for his music performances so I figured I'd tell you about technology and making videos.
Cheers,
Darold
