Time out
I've been taking a time out from writing, talking about writing and thinking about writing (ok I can't really stop thinking about it.) Have been pursuing some of my other interests; planting some garden, making a new flower bed, reading about trees, looking at trees etc. But today I'm back at it with two new poems. Last week I got some work returned with a reject letter and that is kind of a downer. It would be a real downer if publication was my only goal but I usually find myself writing just because I enjoy it.

It's hard not to be upset with rejection letters but it's the same on this path... one has to expect it.

Hi Fran! Thank you your post was really helpful. Taking time to step back and enjoy. I read some where that Thomas Edison looked at each experiment as one step closer. With each closed door their is another one opening...
