Summer insanity and my first song is nearing completion...

It's been quite a wild ride this summer. I had expected to have time to relax, spend time with family, and get through a bunch of song recording. Summer was not at all what I expected!

I only took 4 week days off this summer out of an expected/desired 2 weeks worth. My expectation that my business would slow down was dead wrong... it only got busier. Fortunately the days that I did manage to yank myself out of working were filled with excellent family time. We did some camping!

Murphy has been enforcing a number of laws however so far most of them have turned out to be an inconvenient blessing. For example my cell phone dies at JUST the right time, and when going in to get a new phone the new HTC Desire just happens to have just arrived at the store that day (It wasn't even on display yet) and it just happens to be the perfect phone for what I need right now.

Anyway, I digress. The key point I want to share today is that my first song (of my third album) is nearly complete! I have an early mix of it and I'm happy to say that it will soon be down to mastering and releasing the song. It's been a crazy, fun, hard, certainly challenging summer, but it has also had a number of great rewards along the way.

I'll let you know when the song is out!
