We’re in the dog days of summer and Darold and I have been doing some vacationing in Western Canada. Everywhere we go we see evidence of people out there chasing dreams big and small! We met a couple from Red Deer who have dropped long standing careers and moved to Kelowna to open a health food restaurant. We met young people who have hitchhiked from Nova Scotia across Canada to spend their summer picking cherries and working in the orchards as well as performing music in local cafes. We met a woman in Gibson’s Landing on the Sunshine coast who moved onto a float home bought the adjacent barges and created a magnificent floating garden. What a joy to keep encountering the beautiful and indomitable human spirit that rises and says that the things in my heart are important and worth doing and now is the time to do them!

Even though it’s summer time, the dreamers of the “Dog and Pony Show” web community have not just been laying in their hammocks and resting on their laurels. We’ve been delighted and inspired by all of the postings from our members who have allowed us a little glimpse into their lives and journeys. We realize it takes a lot of time, effort and courage to post journal entries. Thank you for taking the time to update and share your lives with us!

CALL TO ACTION:

Our community of passionate dreamers is growing and on the move. In order that we might continue to develop it we gently and respectfully encourage members to help in the following ways:
1. Please (whenever you have the time and inclination) respond to people’s postings with either suggestions or support. It takes courage to post and it really helps when there is a message or two in response.
2. We would really appreciate your assistance in spreading the word about the “Dog and Pony Show” site through facebook, myspace, twitter, email etc. More dreamers will help to increase interaction, diversity and energy on the site. Special thanks to Matt over in Norway for his continued effort and commitment to keeping our site running. Chetan thank you so much for all of the help you have been providing on facebook.
3. For those of you who haven’t posted a picture and a dream it would be great if you would do so whenever you have a chance so that we can better get to know each other.
