Just a thought

I find that I often put off doing the things that would help me to further my passions. In my head there are a hundred reasons I can dredge up for not moving ahead. I’m too old, it takes too much time, I don’t have the discipline…
I heard a story the other day and I was thinking about how it would be a good guideline to get past the excuses and follow my dreams.
There was a large forest fire. All of the animals were terrified and running toward a lake. Overhead they saw a hummingbird flying toward the fire and then back to the lake. At the lake the bird would swoop and fill her tiny beak full of water and then fly as fast as possible back and drop the water on the fire. A bear asked the hummingbird “what are you doing trying to put out a forest fire with those little beaks full of water?”
The hummingbird replied;

“I’m doing what I can, where I am with what I have”.

Thank you Cathy, it seems maybe we have to honor the little bird in each of us. Even if its a something small... Moving forward

Cathy, this is so true, we should all have the attitude of that little bird.
