Interesting Gig
The last couple weeks have been very interesting. Lately, as I'm mentioned here before, Chris and I have been performing in a somewhat cyborg trio. Ok no we haven't had electronics implanted into our brains that allow us to channel our music directly into a mixing board - but if you figure out how to pull that off let me know. With the difficulties finding a good reliable drummer in Kamloops we've been using recorded drum tracks during our live performances. Last Friday we rocked out with our full sound and my laptop was nowhere to be found.
What happened you ask? Hah. You'll have read a little longer or skip a paragraph before you'll get the details on that.
This Thursday will be my last live gig until Canada Day. Things are busy around here and there just isn't any time for shows until then. Canada Day will rock though. We'll be playing for the crowds down at Riverside Park as part of the Kamloops "Art in the Park" Canada Day celebrations. This will be my third year down there and I'm quite looking forward to it.
Ok, if you were patient enough to read all that I may as well explain myself. What happened is this. Our good friend and former bandmate, Dusty, has returned from the oil patch and is once again a citizen of this fair city. Now that he's picked up a good local job, he offered to pick up the sticks again. It was a blast having him pounding skins when we hit the stage on Friday.
So Dusty's come back, but for now it's not a full-time thing, which is fine. His new work is a little shifty (by that I mean he works a variety of shifts) so he won't be able to make all the shows. To add a little more craziness to the equation, we've been working with another potential part-time player who might take over some of Chris's duties on Bass, allowing Chris and I to mix things up a bit on guitars.
So, while I've been quiet on here, I've been noisy elsewhere. I don't have any new video content for you at the moment, and we haven't done a lot of recording lately.
That's my story for now. Stay tuned!

Hey Mickael,
It's great to hear that things are happening and life is changing as it's pretty boring when things are stagnant. Also I'm glad Dusty and another member are helping out and adding to the overall experience and energy of your dream. Thanks for keeping us posted and look forward to your next update - have fun on Canada Day!!
Cheers,

Must be nice to have the energy radiating from a real person on the drums (or two people actually)! Good luck on Canada Day sounds like lots of fun playing at an outdoor venue like that, wish we could attend.

Thanks Cathy. If there's one thing Dusty has a lot of, it's energy. Hope all is well in oil & cattle country
