Cheers to all of the Dog and Pony show dreamers!!

I was just having a glass of wine before bed and wanted to propose a toast to all of the dreamers in the Dog and Pony show community who have the courage to follow their hearts!

Taking risks is not easy and it's something I've always been somewhat afraid of. Looking foolish in other people's eyes, failing, fear of the unknown, worries about giving up stability and safety all seem to be things that get in the way of following our dreams.

Following our hearts can be risky but these lyrics from Amanda McBroom's song "The Rose" seem to talk about the even greater risks we take when we don't follow our dreams.

It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live.
