The Brodie Show
Well Dog and Pony crew it has been a while. I am living in Vancouver and I am producing my own webseries. It launched 2 weeks ago. After pitching television concepts all summer and having everyone ask what I had produced before, I thought it was time to just start entertaining.
With a dozen short episodes created and posted in the past 2 weeks things have been busy. tommorrow morning I fly out to Guatemala to work with a group called Dentistry for All and to try and find time to document the adventure.

One small step for each of you to help secure a Dream Job. Paid travel show host will help me achieve paid television producer.
Its been a busy summer. Since the LATV fest I have been following up with all the contacts. I worked a couple weeks as background on the pilot of the AMC show "Hell on Wheels" great experience and some more contacts made.
Impulse trip to Las Vegas
So I met some great guys that were my bunk mates at the International Hostel in Santa Monica. They convinced me to change my flight and travel to them to Las Vegas.
Which I did. We had an incredible time and hit up the strip and the pool at the Palms. I am not a gambler but the food and fun is always epic. Not to mention how great the pool is when its 42 degrees C!
LATV FEST, UCLA and Santa Monica
I spent the week of the 12th-16th at the LATV festival in Santa Monica. It was an incredible experience and I met some great people. I continued to create contact in the industry and am learning all the time.
At one point during a meeting I had a clear feeling theat this is exactly what I should be doing, the excitment I get from my ideas and the possibilities of the life I can create feels incredible. People recognized my passion and commented on it.
Banff Festival Update- on the long road!
The festival was awesome. I had an incredible time, it was a real rush being around so many creative people that were excited about the business.
I learnt allot and was riding a festival high and really crashed afterwards from lack of sleep. Three days and nights of talking left me with nearly no voice.
Making some headway and hob nobbing... who says that?
Meetings and more meetings. With my pitches for three shows refined and materials ready I have meetings lined up with the following networks. MTV, VH1, A&E, Marvista, Corus Kids, Teletoon and others!
I will be at the Banff television festival with the creators of the most popular shows on television today and some of the most successful people in the industry.
To say that I am excited for the opportunity is an understatement.
It all starts somewhere
Sometimes you just have to go for it. Making the decision to do it and taking the first step is generally the hardest part. A couple months back I made the decision to just do it. Although I really had no idea how, I decided it was time to sell and/or create my television idea into a real show.
Through the process I came up with 2 more incredible ideas. I have a clearer vision of what I want to do and how to go about doing it. I learned allot from coaches Mark and Jeanne Simon of www.sellyourtvconceptnow.com/ they had great advice and information to push me in the right direction.
