In October, 2106, the lovable losers, the Chicago Cubs, won their first World Series in 108 years! Lady luck came calling that month, and I was in the right place at the right time with the right attitude. I'm happy to say I know where I was when the Cubs won the World Series, working as a #Field #Producer on this historical spot for #Budweiser and the #WorldSeriesChamps, the #ChicagoCubs. Fly the #W forever!
IF I'VE LEARNED ANYTHING ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY it is simply this: the lust is never satisfied. Plateaus are friends. Looking is easy. Staying in the moment is not. Photography helps me reflect. It gives me clarity. On things that matter. Like family. And love. Balance. Truth. And nature. Life in action. Captured.
Photography has been my savior. A tiny example of what I imagine God sees through the layers of her creation. Photography has no judgement. Only revelation. Photography is #POLISH on the #SHINE of #LIFE.

Long before anyone told me, I'd seen the writing on the wall, my first day at Playboy. A huge monolith of signs, this publishing relic weighing 2 tons, which no man or woman could pry from Hef’s sticky vision. Stuck in a time warp, once a maverick, now a speck in the sea of publishing. Say hello to the millennials, Hef. THEY dictate what’s important. Not you anymore.
In anticipation of PLAYBOY closing it’s doors, I kept a vigil eye out for creative remedies. A shark. Always moving. A self-proclaimed artist, I paint stories on behalf of others. This out-of-the-box idea named ZIPZ® was it!. With necessity driving me forward, they dubbed me Creative Director, and I earned it.

During my 8 year tenure at ZIPZ®, I had the opportunity to wear dozens of hat, improving my creative, communication, and directing skills, crafting stories on behalf of this clever idea with potential to influence retail. At ZIPZ®, I was creative director, art director, illustrator, writer, photographer, director, and editor; a one-stop creative shop. Packaging, shoe design, branding, artwork, aesthetics, POS, shelf-talkers, trade show booths and promotionals, photo shoots, video, web sites, copy, sell sheets. You name it, I made it. Thought it. Sang life into it. Like a mermaid to the sailors.
My vision for the brand can be found on the SOUL [sole] of the shoe, which I first wrote on a napkin: “Change your shoes. Change yourself. Change the world”.

⚡ The Challenge International Star Registry, aka Rocky Mosele, contracted our studio’s creative nerve for their latest product launch; Caffeinated Club, club soda with a kick of caffeine. We said #yes, and added a heavy dose of digital savvy.
The project was simple. The execution was delightful; 20 original photo portraits, designed for over 200 JC Decaux CTA bus stops, in print and digital, for a winter media buying blitz. Testimonials, by young Chicago urban socialites, with a mix of local celebrities like former Playmate and Social Columnist at Chicago Tribune, Candace Jordan, Kelly Rizzo, part-time VHS1 talent and host of eattravelrock.com, and social TV host Jeff Conway of the SCENE Network on channel 392. Caffeinated Club wanted to reflect the brand’s youth oriented approach as an alternative to coffee and a healthy substitute with a bubbly fizz. The client loved the storyboards so much it grew into thirty-five posters, created to match the personalities and their story.
⚡ How We Made ItIn a one month turnaround, we created, designed, photographed, developed, and delivered all thirty-five 4’x6’ 4-color process, back-lit poster prints that covered the city of Chicago in JC Decaux bus shelters, 35 digital boards in 3 sizes, 35 digital boards for 360º, and 35 for JC Decaux outdoor digitals, with matching car wraps and magazine advert content, distributed from the gold footage created on a 2 day shoot event, hosted in our original and unique TD+PS studio.
Two very clever fellows, whose #gaming alter-egos invited me to join their first KICKSTARTER product design + launch.

16+ years at the Bunny was MY #masters program in #ART + #DESIGN. Photography, art, design, illustration, style, sculpture, entertainment, singers, dancers, models, actors, liars, wannabees, editors, boyfriends, drama, and music. My time at 680 was a long dance. Ebb + flow. Desire + discipline. Humility + freedom.
